EU Parliament recognized equivalence of cereal seeds from Ukraine

On October 07, 2020, the European Parliament voted to recognize the EU the equivalence of seed certification system and seeds produced in Ukraine

It was reported by Seed Association of Ukraine, with the reference to the voting results.

The decision was taken at the EP plenary session, which took place in Brussels and with the remote participation of the MEPs. The adopted decision had the following voting results: For - 491, Against - 159, Abstention - 47.

Seed Association of Ukraine emphasizes that it has been a long-awaited decision for the entire Ukrainian seed sector, which opens the way for the export of cereal seeds, seeds of corn and sorghum to the EU.
