FARMSAAT UKRAINE LLC and T.V.K. Agriculture (Farmer) Enterprise became new associate members of Seed Association of Ukraine. Their applications were unanimously approved during their review at the regular Meeting of the Board of Seed Association of Ukraine, which took place on December 17, 2021.

We are very pleased to introduce a new logo of Seed Association of Ukraine with bright vibrant colors. Our logo is a symbol of novelty, which attracts attention. And the merging of two circles in the form of a logo is like the links of a chain, which are connected in a strong integral bond. Forasmuch as supporting each other and uniting all members are very important for the association.

The Nordic Seed company became a new member of Seed Association of Ukraine. The corresponding decision was unanimously supported by the Board of the Association during its meeting on December 22, 2020. Nordic Seed was founded in 2008 from acquisitions of the breeding companies Pajbjerg A/S (active since 1920), the Abed Foundation (active 1903) and merger with DLA Agro.

Legal firm Gorodissky & Partners Ukraine joined Seed Association of Ukraine(SAU). The corresponding decision was unanimously supported by the Board of the Association in the course of is meeting, held September 03, 2020. Gorodissky & Partners Ukraine is the largest and one of the leading firms in the field of Intellectual Property in Ukraine.

On September 3, 2020, in the course of the General Assembly meeting of the members of Seed Association of Ukraine (SAU), voting for and subsequent rotation of the chairperson and deputy chairperson took place. Therefore, until June 30, 2021, "Limagrain Ukraine" LLC represented by Viktor Karbivskiy would be a new chairperson, and "BASF T.O.V.", represented by Andrii Kasian, as a deputy chairperson.

Seed Association of Ukraine welcomes the passing of another stage towards the recognition of seed certification system of Ukraine as equivalent to the requirements of the European Union!

The backing of the decision has been initiated by the EU Commission, with the start of the final stage of the EU legislative procedure, which has already begun. Thus, on April 07 there was the publication of the EU commission proposal to include Ukraine to the list of the non-EU countries who can export their seeds to the markets of the European Union member-states

On January 24, 2020, the scheduled Meeting of the Board of Seed Association of Ukraine took place. In its course, applications for joining the Association - from two new members - LNZ LLC and S&W Seed Company Australia - were supported. According to the results of the voting, both companies were unanimously granted the status of an associate member.

The All-Ukrainian Conference "New Rules of the Seed Market: The Year of Experience on the Way to the International Practices" took place in Kyiv on August 3, 2017. It was the first event of its kind, being initiated by the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine, the National Academy of Agrarian Sciences of Ukraine, Seed Association of Ukraine (SAU) and other participants of the seed market in order to review the innovations in the Ukrainian seed market, the practice of implementation of new rules and the needs for their improvement. Seed Association of Ukraine expresses its gratitude to the organizers and all participants who are working towards a common goal – to make the Ukrainian seed market better!

Seed Association of Ukraine (SAU) and the companies-members of the association participated in the specialized workshop "Diagnostics of problems of corn". The event was held July 13, 2017 in Kyiv and was organized by the French National Federation of Seed Maize and Seed Sorghum Production (FNPSMS).

IV International Forum on Intellectual Property, IPF-2017, was held in Kyiv on June 7. In the course of the second session of the event, titled "Intellectual property as a business asset", the issue of the legal regulation of plant varieties as objects of intellectual property was brought into attention.
